Berry Springs Park!

Berry Springs Park!
The land was once owned by John Berry, a Texas settler who in 1846 built a gristmill on the springs that run through the land and are named for him.

This social chapter hike got good times and views of the old oak, pecan, and tree savannah with open switch and muilly grasses. Within the riparian areas although creek and pond limestone  dry today the green of possumhaw and yaupon still natively persist. In the trees Egret view us before moving on. Talking snakes amongst ourselves Mister Jake Diamondback down hidden makes his move across before our foot path. There’s nightshade and Osage orange on the brunch menu. Don’t forget to bring carrots for Kurt and Jessie Donkey!
