Master Naturalist trainees must successfully complete an approved training program with at least 40 hours of combined field and classroom instruction through a Texas Master Naturalist Chapter. Classroom content ranges from the ecological regions of Texas, geology and soil, and weather and climate, to native plants, ornithology, herpetology, and aquatic ecology and management.
